Dr. Kei Morohoshi, MD, PhD, is a physician and researcher specializing in cataract/refractive surgery and molecular biology.
Clinically he specializes in complicated cataract surgeries using multifocal IOL, ICL (Phakic IOL) implantation and the treatment of macular disorders such as age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and diabetic maculopathy. He served as a chief physician of Cataract & Refractive Surgery Clinic and Medical Retina Clinic in Tokyo Medical and Dental University Hospital.
In his four-year research at the Emory University Eye Center from 2007 to 2010, Atlanta, GA, USA, Dr. Morohoshi has used advanced microarray technology to analyze anti-retinal antibodies in patients with AMD and identified serum biomarkers for the disease. He also studied the impacts of experimental therapies on allergic conjunctivitis.
Dr. Morohoshi aims to provide accurate diagnosis, treatment and surgery with his extensive clinical experiences and his wealth of knowledge in the field based on evidence-based medicine.
